Renowned fashion brand Ted Baker is set to vanish from British high streets as the company confirms plans to close all of its remaining stores by the end of today, August 20. The closures come after the company entered administration, marking the end of an era for the brand that first made its debut on the high street 36 years ago with its inaugural store in Glasgow.

All 31 of Ted Baker’s remaining stores across the UK and Ireland are expected to shut their doors by the end of the day. In addition to the physical store closures, the brand’s website has also been taken down as part of the administration process.

Founded in 1988 by Ray Kelvin, Ted Baker became known for its distinctive patterns and florals, establishing itself as a staple in British fashion. The brand’s closure on the high street marks a significant shift in the retail landscape, as another well-loved name disappears from the shopping districts of the UK.
