Seoul Fashion Week is set to make a significant impact on the global fashion stage as the 2025 Spring/Summer edition kicks off on September 3. The event, running for five days, will be hosted at the Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP) and various key fashion districts throughout Seoul, showcasing the upcoming season’s collections.
Since its inception in 2000, Seoul Fashion Week has been dedicated to elevating Korean fashion internationally. The annual event aims to strengthen the global networks of local designers and brands by connecting them with international buyers.
This year’s event will facilitate connections between 95 Korean designer brands and 120 global buyers, with a focus on expanding exchanges and maximizing contract opportunities through enhanced business programs.
The previous season’s Fall/Winter Fashion Week featured 84 brands and attracted 101 international buyers, resulting in approximately $5.24 million in orders.
The 2025 Seoul Fashion Week will highlight prominent Korean brands such as Youser, Julycolumn, Ulkin, Eenk, Bonbom, Amomento, and Marhenj. These brands are seeking to tap into new markets and secure valuable contracts.
International interest is high, with major buyers from around the world expected to attend. Notable participants include France’s Prendang clothing store, Japan’s Daimaru department store, and Singapore’s Club 21.
Oikawa Shin, a buyer from Daimaru, expressed enthusiasm about the event, noting the growing popularity of K-fashion in Japan. “We’re eager to connect with brands interested in entering the Japanese market,” Shin said.
Raphael Deray from Prendang clothing store also highlighted his excitement, stating, “We’re looking forward to visiting the showroom and attending the fashion show of the brand we discovered and purchased from at Paris Fashion Week.”
