Amazon, Vinted, Temu, and SHEIN Lead as Top Fashion Sites in France for Q2

PARIS – Chinese ultra-fast-fashion brands have gained significant traction in France, according to the latest report from the French e-commerce federation (Fevad). The barometer reveals that these sites collectively attracted an average of 50 million internet visitors in the second quarter of 2024.

The ranking of the top three sites remains unchanged from the previous quarter, with Booking, LeBonCoin, and Amazon retaining their positions. Amazon continues to dominate with 8.1 million daily visitors, translating to 36.8 million unique monthly visitors, or approximately 57.6 percent of the French population.

Vinted, a Lithuanian second-hand clothing platform, holds the fourth spot with 18.5 million monthly visitors. Vinted surpasses the combined daily visitors of Booking and LeBonCoin by 4.8 million.

Temu, a Chinese low-cost marketplace, has slipped to seventh place from fifth in the previous quarter. It attracts 15.7 million visits per month, with 2.2 million daily users.

Fevad reports that Vinted and SHEIN are the most frequently visited mobile sites, with 90 percent of Vinted’s audience and 88 percent of SHEIN’s accessing these platforms via mobile devices.

SHEIN, ranked tenth, garners 14.1 million monthly visitors, following Cdiscount and Carrefour. Alibaba, another Chinese low-cost platform, along with Aliexpress, trails with 14 million monthly visits each. SHEIN outpaces Aliexpress in daily visitors, receiving 3.4 million compared to Aliexpress’s 2 million.

Other notable mentions include Leroy Merlin, Fnac, SNCF Connect, and Airbnb. eBay, with 10.5 million monthly visitors, outperforms Decathlon, which is ranked 16th. Rakuten France follows with an average of 9.4 million unique monthly visitors.
