NEW YORK – New York Fashion Week (NYFW) Spring 2025 is set to showcase from September 7 through September 11. In keeping with tradition, designers have shared insights into the inspirations behind their upcoming collections with WWD.

This season, patriotic themes are prominent among the designers’ concepts, driven in part by the approaching U.S. election. Willy Chavarria’s collection, titled “América,” pays tribute to the individuals who have contributed to the nation’s development. In a nod to national pride, Dutch demi-couturier Ronald van der Kemp, making his U.S. debut, will feature his archival “flagjeans” from 2014, incorporating the iconic Stars and Stripes motif.

Additionally, sustainability and artistic references are key themes, reflecting broader industry trends. As NYFW approaches, the intersection of patriotism and creative expression will be on full display, setting the stage for a dynamic and engaging season.
