Seoul, Sept. 5 (Xinhua) – LG Display is making waves in the fashion world with its innovative stretchable displays, which are set to make their debut on the catwalk. In a groundbreaking collaboration with renowned designers Park Yoon-hee and Lee Cheong-cheong, LG Display is integrating its cutting-edge technology into fashion garments and accessories.
During the upcoming fashion show, models will showcase outfits and bags featuring LG Display’s stretchable screens. This demonstration will occur on the runways designed by the two prominent fashion figures, highlighting the versatile applications of this advanced technology.
LG Display’s involvement in this event is part of a broader national initiative involving the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and the Korea Planning & Evaluation Institute of Industrial Technology (KEIT). The project aims to explore the commercial viability of stretchable displays, which are currently in the development phase.
