Acne Studios showcased its Spring/Summer 2025 collection in a minimalist white setting, featuring vibrant sculptures reimagined from everyday objects by Philadelphia artist Jonathan Lyndon Chase. The installation reflected themes of “comfortability and vulnerability” and emphasized “living unapologetically,” according to Chase.
The show commenced with a sleek beige ensemble crafted from lightweight, skin-toned fabrics that conveyed a sense of bareness. This simplicity quickly transformed into bold designs, including a surreal, inflated gray two-piece suit with reptilian embossing. The collection featured sculpted jeans and skirts alongside structured leather pieces, evoking the rubber garments designed for dolls. Chunky knits and oversized checks appeared as if enlarged, with exaggerated busts and shoulder straps resembling playful paper dolls.
In the final segment, pieces adorned with knotted scraps echoed earlier distressed woolen knits. The collection embraced an eclectic use of patterns and asymmetrical styling, presenting a sense of spontaneity as if models had hastily assembled outfits.
Overall, much like Chase’s whimsical décor, the collection captured how personal items reflect individual identity. By merging elements of childhood play with high fashion, Acne Studios delivered a heartfelt tribute to authentic self-expression at Paris Fashion Week.
