eBay has announced plans to invest $1.2 million through its Circular Fashion Fund (CFF) by the end of 2025, aiming to support startups in global markets while enhancing its commitment to sustainable fashion. Launched in the UK in 2022, the CFF is now being expanded globally.
In addition to financial support, the fund will offer applicants over 200 hours of mentoring and networking opportunities with industry experts. Notable judges from past competitions include Hugo Adams, CEO of Kelpi Sustainable Materials, and Kit Willow, founder of KITX. eBay will also award a global entrant the title of “Circular Fashion Innovator of the Year,” along with a $300,000 investment.
Ranked sixth in Digital Commerce 360’s list of global online marketplaces by third-party gross merchandise volume (GMV), eBay is projected to achieve a GMV of $53.83 billion by 2024. This initiative marks eBay’s ongoing commitment to sustainability and innovation in the fashion industry.
