Curated by Sergio Salerni, a partner in the brand and Milan Fashion Week Director, the event brought together top-tier talent and global influencers. The 2024 edition began with a press conference at the Gary Nader Art Centre, where Miami Mayor Daniella Levine Cava, Chairman Oliver G. Gilbert III, and industry leaders like Elliot Carlyle officially welcomed the event to the city.
The festivities kicked off with the “Designers’ Dinner” at Queen Miami Beach, where internationally acclaimed German designer Philipp Plein presented his signature urban style to an excited crowd. The event attracted trendsetters such as Osmariel Villalobos, Hofit Golan, Rodner Figueroa, and Carlos Adyan.
As the week unfolded, Lafayette 148 NY dazzled with an elegant outdoor runway show atop the rooftop of Mr. C Miami Coconut Grove. Meanwhile, Giannina Azar showcased her glamorous eveningwear collection at the Gary Nader Art Centre, featuring models like Marianela Ancheta, Miss Universe Cuba 2024, and Celinee Santos Frias, Miss Universe Dominican Republic 2024.
Miami Fashion Week also hosted several exclusive events, such as the “Influencers Brunch” at Sofia Design District, where Shantall Lacayo unveiled her latest collection. Renowned designer Ágatha Ruiz de la Prada captivated guests with a book presentation at the Gary Nader Art Centre, offering an intimate look at her distinguished career.
MIAFW’s influence extended beyond the runway, with the Miami Fashion Week Summit addressing key issues such as sustainable fashion and the growing impact of influencers. The Summit featured industry leaders like Rodner Figueroa, Andrea Minski, and Yenny Batista, who led discussions on shaping the future of fashion.
