Dior, the renowned French luxury brand, opened a temporary ‘Gold House’ concept store in the upscale Ploenchit district of central Bangkok on December 8. The store’s design is inspired by Dior’s iconic flagship on Avenue Montaigne in Paris. Inside, visitors can explore works by Thai artists and enjoy a ‘Café Dior’ serving desserts crafted by three Michelin-starred chef Mauro Colagreco.

This opening is part of a broader wave of investments in luxury retail in Thailand. One Bangkok, a $3.2 billion shopping district, is under development in the capital’s diplomatic quarter. Meanwhile, traditional department stores and malls across the country are undergoing renovations and expansions.

Thailand’s personal luxury goods market is expected to reach $2.4 billion in retail value this year, with a growth rate of 9% annually through 2029, according to Euromonitor.
