Yesterday morning, the highly anticipated 2025 PH Value China International Knitting (Spring and Summer) Expo was held at the Shanghai International Convention and Exhibition Center. With the help of the national exhibition platform, the annual China Puyuan International Wool Knitwear Expo kicked off here. In this grand event where fashion and innovation are intertwined, Puyuan brought 46 sweater companies, market merchants, and designer brands to make a stunning appearance, with an exhibition area of nearly 3,000 square meters. This is also the 19th time that Puyuan Town has made a group appearance. From traditional wool sweaters to emerging fields such as sports knitting and technological knitting, all kinds of new clothing are dazzling, showing the fashion charm of Puyuan.
“Puyuan, starting with 3 hand-cranked flat knitting machines, has developed into the largest wool sweater distribution center in the country after more than 40 years of ups and downs, and has achieved a leapfrog development of the wool knitting fashion industry from ‘nothing to something, from something to excellence’.” Zhou Yan, member of the Standing Committee of the Tongxiang Municipal Party Committee and Secretary of the Puyuan Town Party Committee, said that in recent years, Puyuan has relied on a solid industrial foundation to focus on building an international fashion town, constantly opening up new tracks and cultivating new advantages.
Taking the construction of Jiaxing Nanhu Airport as an opportunity, we actively integrate into the construction of Jiaxing Airport Economic Demonstration Zone, build platforms such as Airport Science and Technology Park, Airport Industrial Park, and Airport Smart Innovation Park, and build a “1+3” airport economic industry system dominated by pan-aviation (low-altitude economy) industry, fast fashion, modern logistics (intelligent sensing), and cultural tourism and trendy play industries. In 2024, Puyuan International Sweater Fashion Industry Innovation Development Zone was selected as the first batch of high-level service industry innovation development zones in Zhejiang Province, with a regional GDP of 21.14 billion yuan throughout the year, a year-on-year increase of 4%, and a continuous increase in comprehensive strength. The construction of an international fashion town has begun to take effect.
