Vancouver is set to transform its fashion reputation with a new event aimed at showcasing local talent and innovation.
Historically, Vancouver has struggled with its fashion image, often ranking among the worst-dressed cities in Canada. Known for its athleisure culture, the city has faced ongoing debates about the appropriateness of leggings as everyday wear.
In an effort to shift this narrative, Vancouver Independent Fashion Flair is introducing Elevate, a festival dedicated to highlighting emerging designers and brands.
The festival will take place at the D6 Lounge within the Parq Casino and is scheduled to run for 10 hours. Elevate is designed to not only celebrate local fashion but also offer a platform for fashion enthusiasts and industry professionals to connect and collaborate.
By focusing on Vancouver’s burgeoning design scene, Elevate hopes to redefine the city’s fashion identity and foster new opportunities for local talent.
