Kering’s Marie-Claire Daveu Discusses the Future of Sustainability in Fashion

Singapore – Marie-Claire Daveu, Kering’s Chief Sustainability and Institutional Affairs Officer, has been in Singapore to announce a significant three-year research partnership with the National University of Singapore (NUS). This collaboration aims to explore and enhance nature-related business strategies within the Asia Pacific region, contributing valuable insights to the global sustainability and climate action agenda.

Sustainability, once seen as a distant goal, has become an urgent reality as the impacts of climate change intensify. With her extensive background in sustainability, Daveu is well-positioned to address this challenge. A graduate of the Paris Institute of Technology for Food and Environmental Sciences, Daveu boasts a distinguished career, including roles as a technical advisor to the French Prime Minister’s cabinet and chief of staff to two French Ministers of Ecology.

At Kering, Daveu is responsible for developing and implementing sustainability strategies across the Group and its luxury brands. Her recent visit to Singapore underscores Kering’s commitment to advancing sustainability in the fashion industry.
