Marche, Italy – SolarEdge Technologies, Inc., a leading innovator in smart energy solutions, has announced a significant solar energy expansion for the Italian luxury fashion house TOD’S. The company has installed SolarEdge rooftop systems at both its headquarters and manufacturing facility in the Marche region, with a total capacity of 740 kWp.
These new installations are set to provide approximately 78% of TOD’S daily energy needs, contributing to a reduction in carbon emissions by approximately 126 metric tons of CO₂ from April to December 2023, based on the “location-based method” of calculation.
This expansion aligns with TOD’S commitment to corporate sustainability and follows the success of a previous SolarEdge installation at its Arquata del Tronto production facility in 2017. The earlier project played a role in the region’s economic recovery after a major earthquake. Additionally, TOD’S has recently completed another solar installation at its Montecosaro site, generating an additional 106 kWp of solar power.
