The British Fashion Council (BFC) has unveiled its list of nominees for the 2024 Fashion Awards, spotlighting the most influential figures in the fashion industry. Among the top honors, the Designer of the Year category features prominent names including John Galliano for Maison Margiela, Rick Owens for his eponymous label, Miuccia Prada for Miu Miu, and Jonathan Anderson for both JW Anderson and LOEWE. Also nominated are Chemena Kamali for Chloé and Pieter Mulier for Alaïa.
John Galliano’s nomination is highlighted by his acclaimed 2024 Artisanal Collection at Maison Margiela. Chemena Kamali, who joined Chloé less than a year ago as its director, is recognized for her impactful contributions. Both Jonathan Anderson and Miuccia Prada have had a significant year, with their respective brands LOEWE and Miu Miu continuing to capture widespread attention.
In the Model of the Year category, nominees include Alex Consani, Anok Yai, and Amelia Gray, selected based on their substantial global impact over the past year.
Additional categories, including the Special Recognition Awards, the Isabella Blow Award for Fashion Creator, Outstanding Achievement Award, Fashion Icon, and NEW WAVE: Creatives, will be announced in November.
