As summer draws to a close, the Venice International Film Festival attracts A-list actors and renowned directors to the picturesque canals of Venice, Italy. This year’s festival promises to be a vibrant showcase of red carpet fashion, following a subdued 2023 edition due to the SAG-AFTRA strike. The tradition of arriving via water taxi adds a unique touch to the event.
The festival’s prestigious Golden Lion will be awarded by a distinguished jury led by president Isabelle Huppert, alongside notable members such as James Gray and Andrew Haigh. This year’s lineup features high-profile premieres, including “Joker: Folié à Deux” starring Lady Gaga and Joaquin Phoenix, Angelina Jolie’s biopic “Maria” directed by Pablo Larraín, Luca Guadagnino’s “Queer,” and “Baby Girl” featuring Nicole Kidman and Harris Dickinson.
In addition to these films, the festival is expected to see appearances from prominent figures such as Cate Blanchett, Brad Pitt, George Clooney, Jude Law, Julianne Moore, Tilda Swinton, and Jenna Ortega.
