Professional athletes are making waves in the fashion world. As sports stars, musicians, and cultural influencers increasingly intertwine with the fashion industry, they are establishing a unique presence, particularly through brand ambassadorships and collaborations. Athletes, in particular, have dominated this space with their standout “tunnelfits”—a trend exemplified by figures like WNBA player Cameron Brink.

Enter TUNL, a new content platform born from a collaboration between creative director and “dot connector” Ashley Champ and the creative agency Versus Partners. TUNL aims to seamlessly merge sports, music, and cultural figures with luxury fashion and streetwear. The platform will serve as a hub for related content, commerce, and community, offering sports partnerships, designer collaborations, an online marketplace, and an annual gala to bring these industries together.

In an exclusive interview with FashionNetwork.com, Champ shared insights ahead of the first annual TUNL Gala. Hosted by hip-hop executive Lenny Santiago on the eve of New York Fashion Week, the event will feature GRAMMY award-winning artist Mustard in partnership with Spotify. Following the gala, TUNL will unveil its inaugural designer collaborations with Mifland and PINKFlamingoUSA X PRIX, which will be available on the platform’s e-commerce marketplace.

This fusion of fashion, sports, and culture marks a bold new chapter, positioning TUNL as a key player in this evolving landscape.
