French luxury fashion house Chanel has revealed that its upcoming Cruise 2024-2025 show will be restaged at the Hong Kong Design Institute on November 5. Originally presented in Marseille, France, in May, the show’s Hong Kong iteration is expected to deepen the brand’s relationship with its customers and the broader local community, according to Bruno Pavlovsky, Chanel’s President of Fashion, in an interview with Style magazine.

The Hong Kong Design Institute, situated in the industrially-transformed Tseung Kwan O area, was designed by the French architecture firm Coldefy. Pavlovsky emphasized the venue’s significance, noting, “We have chosen a unique location, possibly the first fashion show held in this area, with distinctive architecture that truly embodies Hong Kong.” He added that the venue’s status as one of Hong Kong’s largest institutions for students presents a valuable opportunity for collaboration between Chanel and the local academic community.

As Chanel prepares for the Hong Kong event, the fashion world is abuzz with speculation about the brand’s plans to appoint a new designer, adding further intrigue to the upcoming show.
