by Tina

On Saturday, fashion enthusiasts experienced a vibrant celebration of cultural heritage at the University Programs Council’s “Fashion from Around the World” event, held at 1515. This fashion show, dedicated to showcasing traditional clothing, featured students representing a diverse array of cultures, each bringing their unique heritage to the runway.

The event highlighted ten students who modeled garments from Ethiopia, India, Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon, Pakistan, Palestine, Samoa, and Syria. The runway was abuzz with color as each participant donned traditional sarees, lehengas, and Habesha kemis, complemented by distinctive jewelry and accessories. The evening’s festivities were enhanced by music and a catered dinner from Sultan Kebab, rounding off a night dedicated to artistic expression and cultural unity.
