“Tomorrow’s Wardrobe” Exhibition to Highlight Innovations in Sustainable Fashion

by Tina

The fashion industry stands at a critical juncture, with data indicating that between 80 and 150 billion garments are produced annually, and between 10% and 40% of these items remain unsold. This results in an estimated 8 to 60 billion garments that are manufactured but never worn, underscoring a significant sustainability issue within the industry.

In response to this challenge, “Tomorrow’s Wardrobe,” a new free exhibition set to open at The Designer Museum in London this September, aims to address these pressing concerns. Curated by George Kafka, the exhibition will focus on the innovators who are spearheading change in sustainable fashion. It will feature groundbreaking technologies and explore the role of Fashion Week in advancing industry-wide sustainability efforts.
