Cape Town, South Africa, September 11, 2024 — The Allfashion Sourcing Exhibition, a prominent annual event in the fashion and textile industry, commenced yesterday in Cape Town, South Africa’s legislative capital.
Taking place from September 10 to 12 at the Cape Town International Convention Center (CTICC), the exhibition serves as a pivotal platform for the textile and fashion sectors, merging African creativity and design with global sourcing opportunities.
The event, organized by Messe Frankfurt—one of the world’s largest trade fair companies—has attracted a diverse range of participants, including international manufacturers, designers, retailers, buyers, educational institutions, associations, financiers, and service providers from across the textile, apparel, footwear, and fashion industries.
Thandi Phele, acting deputy director-general of sectors at the South African Department of Trade, Industry, and Competition (DTIC), emphasized the department’s backing for local manufacturers showcasing their products at the exhibition.
