MIAMI, Nov. 4, 2024 – Miami Fashion Week® (MIAFW) has revealed an impressive designer lineup for its November 2024 event, expanding its calendar with an exciting new range of showcases. Set to take place from November 19–23, 2024, MIAFW will feature high-energy runway shows, sustainability initiatives, and exclusive activations during Miami’s prime event season.
Following the success of its January 2024 event, which introduced a new focus on streetwear, MIAFW is broadening its scope this November. The festival will continue to honor its legacy of Resort showcases while embracing a diverse mix of design styles, reflecting the vibrant spirit of Miami.
Among the designers returning to the MIAFW stage is Lafayette 148 New York, who will present their Resort collection at the chic Mr. C Coconut Grove. Renowned designer Ágatha Ruiz de la Prada will showcase her latest collection, inspired by her newly released autobiography. Miami-based designer Yas González will present a collection celebrating the city’s energy, while celebrity designer Giannina Azar will bring her signature glamour to the runway. Shantall Lacayo will also return, blending cultural influences with modern design elements.
MIAFW is also expanding its reach with the launch of the “MiamiMade” initiative, which supports local talent. This year, the initiative will feature the work of the celebrated designer Sigal. International designers joining the event include Claro Couture from Spain, known for its European elegance, and Venezuelan designer Yenny Bastida, who combines sustainability with high fashion. More new designers are set to be announced in the coming weeks, adding even more excitement to the event.
“Miami Fashion Week has always been a hub of creativity and culture,” said Lourdes Fernandez-Velasco, Executive Director of Miami Fashion Week. “This year’s lineup, alongside our continued commitment to sustainability, showcases the dynamic energy of Miami as a cultural powerhouse. We’re excited to merge innovation with meaningful conversation to shape the future of fashion.”
MIAFW is grateful for the support of Miami-Dade County and the City of Miami Beach, which has helped foster the growth of the fashion industry in the region. In line with its sustainability efforts, the event will once again host the Miami Fashion Week Summit in collaboration with Miami Dade College. The Summit, now a two-day event, will bring together industry experts to explore sustainable practices and discuss the impact of influencers on the fashion world. Additionally, MIAFW will showcase a collection from students at the Miami Fashion Institute at the Gary Nader Art Centre.
For over 20 years, MIAFW has been more than just a fashion show, offering an immersive experience that brings together industry leaders and creatives from around the world. This year’s event will return to iconic venues like the Gary Nader Art Centre, home to the renowned Botero exhibit, further solidifying MIAFW’s role in driving innovation at the intersection of fashion, art, and culture.
