Louis Vuitton’s Cruise 2025 show, directed by Nicolas Ghesquière, celebrated the brand’s spirit of travel, showcasing vibrant colors, bold silhouettes, and a mix of 80s party aesthetics with cowboy chic. Set in Barcelona’s iconic Park Güell, a UNESCO World Heritage site designed by Antoni Gaudí, the show brought Ghesquière’s creations to life against the backdrop of Gaudí’s whimsical architecture.
The park, which has captivated visitors since its completion in 1914, shares with Louis Vuitton a legacy of evolving design. Gaudí’s colorful mosaics and organic forms have become synonymous with Barcelona, much like Louis Vuitton’s ongoing reinvention of travel-inspired fashion.
For this collection, Ghesquière infused Spanish influences, balancing graphic contrasts of light and shadow in his designs. The result was a collection filled with a sense of adventure and nostalgia, highlighted by 80s-inspired party vibes and cowboy chic details, reminiscent of Louis Vuitton’s men’s creative director Pharrell Williams’ fashion style.
The collection featured bold, architectural volumes, as seen in pieces like a vibrant blue, one-shoulder minidress with an exaggerated parachute hem, which contrasted with fluid silhouettes like dropped-waist designs. Other standout pieces included a voluminous beige skirt with exaggerated hips, paired with a crimson draped top.
Accessories played a key role, with ready-to-wear bags like the NéoNoé in bright yellow, adding pops of color to the adventurous collection. Fringes and ruffles added a sense of movement, while other accessories, like a top with bold shoulders and a bulbous skirt, combined with an oversized belt and pointed ankle boots, emphasized dramatic shapes and contemporary cowboy influences.
The Louis Vuitton Cruise 2025 collection celebrates exploration and adventure, blending the heritage of the brand with modern flair for a striking look at the future of fashion.
