CHELSEA, Manhattan (WABC) — Housing Works has kicked off its annual “Fashion for Action” event, offering deeply discounted designer items to help support the organization’s life-saving programs.
Held at Housing Works’ flagship store in Chelsea, the four-day event features a wide selection of new items—ranging from cashmere and coats to candles and dresses—all available at discounts of up to 80% off retail prices.
“It’s a chance to find designer brands at a fraction of the cost, with great gifts for any occasion,” said Elizabeth Koke of Housing Works.
Items from top brands, including Reiss coats priced at $545, are available for just $150. All proceeds from the event directly benefit Housing Works’ mission to provide vital services to low-income New Yorkers.
Notable donations include pieces from Debbie Harry’s personal collection, which are tucked among other high-end finds. An exclusive t-shirt from Brooklyn-based Snow Milk and a stunning formal jumpsuit for women priced at $150 are just a few of the unique items available.
“Our goal is to offer accessible, fun pieces that add a little flair to your wardrobe,” Koke added.
Fashion for Action not only provides excellent deals but also supports a vital cause, helping Housing Works continue its important work.
