After a two-year hiatus, Lanvin is set to return to Paris Fashion Week. The renowned Parisian fashion house, now part of the Lanvin Group, will showcase its collections at the end of January 2025. This marks a significant comeback for the brand, which has been absent from the official calendar for some time. The exact date of the show has not yet been announced, but it will feature both men’s and women’s collections from the new creative director, Peter Copping.
Copping’s debut collection is expected to embody the essence of “le Chic Ultime,” a concept introduced by the brand’s founder, Jeanne Lanvin. In a statement, the label described the upcoming show as a “unique revelatory moment,” highlighting the Fall/Winter 2025-26 ready-to-wear collections for both genders.
The previous artistic director, Bruno Sialelli, departed after his last show in March 2023. He had been with Lanvin since January 2019, following a period of uncertainty for the brand after Alber Elbaz’s exit in 2015. During the past two years, Lanvin has focused on restructuring its strategy and refining its market position, aiming for a more sophisticated and distinctly French style.
Peter Copping, who took on the role of artistic director in September 2024, brings extensive experience to Lanvin. The British designer has worked with notable brands such as Louis Vuitton and Nina Ricci. His task now is to translate the brand’s transformation into new collections that resonate with modern sensibilities while honoring its rich heritage.
Lanvin’s return to Paris Fashion Week represents a pivotal moment for the oldest continuously operating couture house in France. As anticipation builds for Copping’s first show, it promises to be an important step in reclaiming Lanvin’s status among leading names in fashion.
