According to Nicea, European fashion starts with comfortable footwear. In France, it’s common to see people pairing tennis shoes or flat boots with everything from jeans to skirts, even with dresses. Given the amount of walking, comfort is key when choosing shoes.
Leather and faux fur also play a big role in French style, not just for formal occasions. A fun faux fur coat or leather jacket can be effortlessly paired with a sweater for a stylish yet cozy look.
One of Nicea’s favorite finds from her trip was a checked ski coat and pants from Zara. Zara, a popular Spanish brand, now offers ski clothing, but only in European stores. Nicea loves Zara for its trendy pieces that don’t come with a hefty price tag.
When it comes to holiday fashion, sparkle is a must—even in France. Shiny necklaces that resemble ties, floor-length skirts with a subtle shimmer, and a red halter dress combining sequins and feathers are all the rage.
