KDC/One & Clarion Group Form JV to Enter Indian Beauty Market

Beauty and personal care manufacturer kdc/one and India’s Clarion Group have announced a joint venture to strengthen beauty packaging and formulation capabilities for the Indian market.

The newly formed entity, kdc/one Clarion Beauty Pvt Ltd, will provide packaging manufacturing and formulation innovation for beauty and personal care brands.

The agreement was signed in Chennai by Sandra Wisniewski, Global President, Beauty and Personal Care, kdc/one, and KN Lakshmanan, Chairman, Clarion Group.

The partnership is said to combine kdc/one’s global expertise in R&D, formulation and packaging design with Clarion’s established local manufacturing operations and market knowledge.

The two companies aim to provide cost-effective, high-quality solutions to domestic and international brands operating in India.

As part of the collaboration, a new manufacturing facility will be set up in Gujarat within the next 12 months.

The facility will focus on injection molding and metallization of beauty packaging, meeting the growing demand for premium packaging solutions in India.

The joint venture will cover packaging for color cosmetics, skincare and personal care products, while also combining Clarion’s local formulation expertise with kdc/one’s global innovation capabilities.

Commenting on the partnership, Wisniewski said: “We are delighted to join forces with the Clarion Group, combining our individual and collective strengths to help brand owners expand their global presence in the rapidly growing Indian market.
