Prada (OTCPK:PRDSF)(OTCPK:PRDSY) will make a decision this week on whether to acquire rival Versace, Reuters reported on Sunday, citing a person familiar with the matter.
The talks are now in the final stages, the report said. In February, Prada received the latest financial and sales data for Versace.
Versace has been a subsidiary of Capri Holdings (NYSE:CPRI) since 2018. Italian daily La Repubblica reported on Saturday that Capri Group CEO John Idol is expected to travel to Milan in the coming days to discuss the deal.
Neither Capri nor Prada immediately responded to Seeking Alpha’s request for comment.
