Pharrell loves Miami. In fact, when the Louis Vuitton menswear artistic director opens his “Billionaire Boys Club” flagship store in Florida’s capital in 2022, he told Hypebeast, “There’s nowhere else in the world like Miami.” So it’s no surprise that the Magic City aficionado designed Louis Vuitton’s Pre-Fall 2025 menswear collection based on a transcontinental voyage from Paris to Interstate 305.
For those who are curious, Pharrell’s Miami saga runs particularly deep: In 2018, Pharrell opened a two-story, 13,500-square-foot restaurant called Swan in the Miami Design District; two years later, the super producer shelled out $30 million for a 3.3-acre mansion in the seaside town of Coral Gables; and in 2021, he opened The Goodtime Hotel in South Beach with hotel industry expert David Grutman.
There’s also the opening of the BBC Store, of course; and in between running his coastal empire, he’s often been spotted zipping around the city in his Tesla Cybertruck (and this review would be remiss if it didn’t mention the hilarious scene last year when Skateboard P tried to parallel park the giant pickup outside of the Louis Vuitton store in Miami.)
That said, Pharrell knows exactly what Miami’s luxury consumers want — and his latest collaboration with LV should satisfy their cravings. To be clear, this isn’t the kind of clothing you’ll see worn into the wee hours on headdresses at Club Space; this is the wardrobe of Miami’s yachtsmen, sports car enthusiasts, Swan regulars, and Goodtime vacationers. Themed “A Playboy’s Journey from Sea to Sand,” the collection is divided into two chapters: “Transit” and “Arrival.”
The “Transit” collection follows the typical cruise-collection dress code, with nylon trench coats printed with the Monogram Regatta, sporty driving jackets, three-piece suits, shawl-collared tuxedos, and other tailored looks. The “Arrival” collection is designed for poolside lounging and includes French terry robes, water bowling sets, striped shirts and shorts – all with resort-inspired graphics.
The new leather travel trunk features Pharrell’s distressed tan VVT sfumato trim and the Monogram Heritage pattern, presented in a nautical style. Sailor berets and pearl denim baseball caps, as well as rope-inspired chains and bracelets, make the brand’s fashion journey more real and moving. In addition, several classic LV shoes – including the Scala, Easy Mule, Footprint and Venice – have also been renovated with a resort style.
